Latest Progress of Six key projects in the Jiangdong New Area Headquarters Zone

These six key projects are all under construction within the Jiangdong New Area Headquarters Zone. The projects started construction in 2019/20 and are expected to be finished in 2022/23.

Hainan International Energy Trading Center

The Hainan International Energy Trading Center started construction at the end of 2019 and is expected to be completed by February 2022.

The project is being built by Shandong Energy Group, one of the world’s top 500 companies. It is the first landmark building in the CBD of the Jiangdong New Area.

The Hainan International Energy Trading Center project has a total construction area of 65,726 square meters across 17 floors when completed, it will become an international and domestic large-scale energy enterprise, office space and business & trading centre. It is also a 5A class office commercial building.

Datang International Trade Center

On April 14, 2020, the Datang International Trade Center project officially started opening new avenues for enterprises to actively participate in the construction of the Jiangdong New Area. It is expected to be completed in January 2022.

At present, the project has completed the foundation support columns, engineering columns and tower crane construction.

Haikou Jiangdong New Area Financial Center

Haikou Jiangdong New Area Financial Center has an emphasis on quality, high-level opening up and the establishment of a service-oriented industrial systems.

It will further expand the cross-border use of RMB, explore capital project exchange, deepen foreign exchange management reforms and explore investment and financing exchanges to facilitate trade and investment and provide quality financial services.
The project is expected to be completed by March 2022.

At present, the project has completed the foundation support, engineering columns, earth excavation, tower crane installation and is in the process of raft board, cushions and waterproof construction.

Bank of China Building Project in Hainan

Hainan BOC Building project has a total construction area of around 100,000 square meters.

Unique in design, it will be an iconic building in the Jiangdong area. It will be a Hainan Free Trade Zone benchmark international financial centre, enhancing the international image of Hainan and will provide financing and other multi-level services and support.

The project is scheduled to be completed in January 2023. At present, the project is currently in the foundation support and earthworks construction phase.

Guo investment ecological environment building project

State Development and Investment Group Co., Ltd. invested in the construction of the National Investment Ecological Environment Building project which started in July 2020.

The project will become the National Investment Group, Hainan Regional Management Headquarters, Jiangdong New Area, “Headquarters Economy”.

The project will be built into a first-class high-quality business office building to meet the needs of regional headquarters office operations.
At present, the project has completed the construction of water curtain columns, engineering columns and the foundation pit support columns are 75% complete.

Hainan Bank Headquarters Building Project

The construction of the Hainan Bank Headquarters Building project marks a new beginning in the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.

The Hainan Bank headquarters building covers an area of 20,959 square meters, is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.

When completed, the project will promote financial innovation, maintain financial stability and promote industrial transformation.
At present, the construction of foundation pit support columns have been completed, and anchor construction and column base testing are underway.
