Thanks to the local government of Haikou Meilan District, which is determined to make the Jiangdong New Area famous for being “green”, a conservation project has been set up in Daomenghe Wetland Park. By transforming abandoned farmlands into a smart, modern agricultural model area, the project has created a beautiful landscape of “blue waters and green banks” in the Park, as well as greatly increased local farmers’ incomes.
