On July 10th, a Clark-Haikou-Davao cargo route was launched by Royal Air Philippines, marking the tenth international cargo route to connect to the Haikou Meilan International Airport this year.
Royal Air will operate an Airbus A319 on the cargo route on a thrice-weekly schedule (every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday). The maiden flight on July 10th picked up 9 tons of e-commerce cargo in Haikou, and the route will also carry seafood and other products in the near future.

This new cargo route between the Philippines and Haikou will further facilitate economic and trade ties between the Hainan Free Trade Port and Southeast Asia, said a representative from the Haikou Meilan International Airport.
This year, the Haikou Meilan International Airport has witnessed the launch of international and regional cargo routes linking Haikou with Russia, Germany, France, Indonesia, Singapore, Italy, Australia, South Korea, the Philippines, and China's Hong Kong SAR, bringing more and more international cargo to Haikou and boosting the development the export-oriented economy and a wide variety of industries in the Hainan Free Trade Port.
