Contracts of intent for ¥25.768 billion signed with Haikou Jiangdong New Area

On August 20, 9 project contracts with a total investment of about CNY 2.04 billion were signed in the Haikou Jiangdong New Area during the Hainan Free Trade Port 2021 (4th Group) Key project centralized signing event. The contract signees included two Fortune 500 companies.

As one of the 11 key parks of the Hainan Free Trade Port, this year, the Haikou Jiangdong New Area has focused on the service economy, the headquarters economy, and the airport economy, carrying out investment activities through multiple channels. From January to July, the Haikou Jiangdong New Area signed a total of 25.768 billion yuan worth of contracts of intent.

12 new Fortune 500 enterprises

On August 18, Haikou City transferred the use rights of 2 state-owned construction land areas in the Haikou Jiangdong New Area. These two land areas are located in the Haikou Jiangdong New Area Headquarters Economic Zone and cover a total land area of 2,5939.1 square meters (about 38.91 mu).

The two Fortune 500 companies, both operating under the banner of the Jingdong Group, have decided to build Jingdong Hainan supply chain headquarters on those two plots of land.

“The Jingdong Hainan supply chain headquarters in Haikou’s Jiangdong New Area will drive the development of the regional modern service industry, attract more companies in the consumer boutique industry, the digital intelligent industry, and the new finance industry, and assist in the development of the Hainan International Tourism Consumer Center," said a representative of the Haikou Jiangdong New Area Administration.

18 "first orders" in the province have been completed

The Haikou Jiangdong New Area is striving to build a modern service industry zone and has completed a total of 18 "first orders" in the province as of August, as FTP policy incentives continue to be released.

“The Haikou Jiangdong New Area will focus on four modern service industries: the airport economy industry, the new finance industry, the consumer products industry, and the digital intelligence industry, to promote the development of a modern service industry cluster," said ta representative of the Haikou Jiangdong New Area Administration.
