Haikou Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone will Start Operating Soon

The Haikou Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone passed pre-acceptance inspection on the morning of Nov 2. It will become the second comprehensive bonded zone in Hainan after being officially put into operation.

On the morning of Nov 2, the pre-acceptance team came to the Haikou Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone to carry out on-site evaluations. After the acceptance check, Haikou Government and the team jointly signed the pre-acceptance summary. The Bonded Zone is located in the southeast of Haikou Meilan International Airport, with a planned area of 0.44 square kilometers. After being officially put into operation, it will become the second comprehensive bonded Zone and the third special customs supervision area in Hainan, focusing on the development of aircraft maintenance, bonded aviation material logistics, aviation express delivery and other industries.

Up to now, two major projects has been built in the zone, which are the one-stop aircraft maintenance base and the engine maintenance base. Bohai and China Southern Airlines have singed the rental projects with the zone. According to Xu Liang, Deputy Director of Administrative Committee of Haikou Integrated Free Trade Zone, the authority looks forward to attracting more aviation trade industries here next.
