New Smart Comprehensive Base project in Haikou Jiangdong New Area (JDNA)

As of a few days ago, the Jiangdong Smart Comprehensive Base project in the Jiangdong New Area Headquarter Economic Zone between Jiangdong Avenue and the Haikou Financial Center finished construction work. Now ready for handover, the purpose of the 24-meter tall building (with around 6,000m² of floorspace) is primarily smart government affairs, energy, logistics, education, and environmental protection.

With service and business centers on the first floor creating a convenient window for the public, general maintenance facilities and a parking garage in the basement levels, and computer rooms and smart command centers on the upper floors forming a powerful "cloud computing brain" that realize efficient processing and intelligent analysis of various types of information, the project is based on the "smart cube” concept. With a dynamically lit cloud patterned façade creating a unique technological light and shadow effect, the open-sided verandas along the outside of the building integrate with the grass covered hillside nearby to form a “park-style” ecological space.

As a comprehensive intelligent hub integrating data storage, command and dispatch, and public services, this project—once it comes online—will be a new carrier for Haikou's SmartCity construction providing an advanced office environment and development platform for enterprises in the region that should not only attract many high-tech companies and innovative teams to settle in Hainan but also help promote talent aggregation and industrial upgrading.
